1

Install an Android Emulator

9Bot supports compatible BlueStacks or MuMu Player installations. Choose a version for your operating system:

☐
BlueStacks — Windows or compatible Mac edition
Download from bluestacks.com
☐
MuMu Player — use a compatible platform/version
Download from mumuplayer.com
You only need one emulator. Check the release notes for tested environments; not every version has fresh-install evidence.
2

Configure the Emulator

Open your emulator's settings and check two things; menu names vary by version:

☐
Screen resolution — set to 1080 x 1920 (portrait)
BlueStacks: Settings → Display → Resolution → Custom (1080 x 1920)
MuMu: Settings → Display → 1080x1920
☐
ADB (Android Debug Bridge) — must be enabled
BlueStacks: Settings → Advanced → Enable Android Debug Bridge
MuMu: Verify ADB is enabled in your installed version
ADB is required for device control. Visual gameplay controls expect 1080 x 1920 portrait.
3

Install the Game

Open the emulator and install Kingdom Guard from the Play Store. Log in to your account and make sure you can reach the map screen — the main world view where you see your castle.

4

Install Python

9Bot needs Python 3.11 or newer. If you don't have it:

☐
Download from python.org/downloads
On Windows, include the Python launcher (py.exe) and "Add Python to PATH". Use the macOS installer on Mac.
Already have Python? Check python3 --version on Mac or py --version on Windows. Python 3.11+ is required.
5

Run 9Bot

Double-click run.bat (Windows) or run.command (Mac) in the 9Bot folder.

First launch needs internet access to set up ADB and the project environment. Enter your license when prompted. The app opens a dashboard window or browser; if needed, open http://127.0.0.1:8080 on the same computer.
6

You're In!

The 9Bot dashboard should now be open. Your emulator should appear as a connected device.

Use the Quick Start Guide below for controls and phone access. Auto Quest is shown in Broken Lands mode; its question-mark help explains markers and settings.

If no devices show up, make sure your emulator is running and ADB is enabled, then use the setup wizard or device controls to check the connection.

Troubleshooting

No devices detected?
Make sure the emulator is fully started and ADB is enabled. Follow the setup wizard/device connection error. Some emulator versions need a restart after enabling ADB; do not launch a second bot for the same device.
run.bat closes immediately?
Windows: open Command Prompt in the 9Bot folder and run run.bat to retain the error. If setup has finished, .venv\Scripts\python.exe run_web.py uses the installed environment. Mac: cd to the folder and run bash run.command.
"Python not found"?
On Windows, install Python 3.11+ with the launcher (py.exe) and "Add to PATH", then open a new Command Prompt. On Mac, install Python 3.11+ and rerun run.command. Keep any dependency error for support.
Multiple emulator instances?
9Bot supports running multiple emulator instances at the same time. Each one shows up as a separate device on the dashboard. Make sure each instance has the correct resolution set.
